The LC131 lock cases deadlocking is controlled by a snib. For Scandinavian range cylinders. The snib has three positions, but the top two are the same. When the snib is in one of the top two positions, the door will automatically deadlock when closed. It can then be opened by a key or by the thumbturn. When the snib is in the lowest position, the latchbolt is locked inside the lock case. We recommend installing the most used cylinder to the top slot, as the bottom slot will be installed upside down due to the construction of the lock case. The lock can be fitted with a thumbturn, a one sided cylinder and/or a double sided cylinder. The LC131X is the microswitch version of the lock. The switch changes its status when the bolt is fully extended (Snibs up position). The lock case works with the 4613, 4614, LP702, and LP703 striker plates.
